Aug. 5, 2006, 12:02 a.m.okay, it was funny, but not as funny as steven colbert, who is a refreshing comic genius. but whomever did this should just keep on trying. i liked seeing the guy from moveon.org, he just needed to be made funnier. tooo much of a straight man for my tastes. but comedy is better than news.

Aug. 5, 2006, 12:06 a.m.There needs to be a congressional investigation. Oh forgive me I thought Clinton was still President. Never mind, what we need is a special persecutor, forget it, congress did away with that law too. After all, since Clinton left office what do we need that for. No, let's get John Ashcroft, the Attorney General to look into it. Yeah John Ashcroft, the guy that lost his Senate seat to a dead guy. That's right the people of his state thought that a dead guy could better represent them in the Senate so Dubya made him the Attorney General. Wait a minute he was replaced buy a Mexican guy, what is his name? Sargent Gonzalez? No that was the guy from Zorro. Anyhow we can't let this Colbert guy (if that is his real name) get away with whatever it is he is trying to get away with. We have to stamp out this thing before it grows to epidemic proportions and undermines the very moral fabric of this nation!

Aug. 5, 2006, 2:27 p.m.OMG I swear to god I thought this was a joke when I saw it but they are dead serious. These people are fukcing idiots and need to be committed. The man is fukcing jokes about bears and people are mad? And why does stephen Colbert need to tell his audience that if a baby sits in front of a glacier for 100 years he will be an old man by the end. I mean I know Al Franken needs the special ed help but damnit that video was gay. If you support that video please do me a favor. Walk out of your house/apartment/hole in the ground(which is more than likely) go somewhere with a computer. Use this computer to look up a local gun retailer. Go to this gun retailer and purchase a 12 gauge shotgun. Take this shotgun and saw off the barrel. For the next step, you will need to load this "sawed off" with shells. Once this is completed point the gun where the bottom part of your chin meets you neck and then squeeze the trigger. This should end many problems on this planet.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:05 p.m.Hilarious. I wonder if this was inspired by people who are actually taking Colbert seriously - I wouldn't doubt they exist.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:06 p.m.Wow donkey, just...wow.
And why not get angry with Stephen Colbert. Here we have the typical hard-line, right-wing, republican (of FRENCH descent mind you,) spouting off his anti bear propoganda. Disguising himself in a shroud of "truthiness" he has waged an unrepentant, merciless war on our fuzzy bretheren of the woods. What's going to happen to Winnie the Pooh when the ****** hits the fan huh? What happens when Colbert and others like him start calling for the invasion of the Hundred Acre Wood just to deal with the threat of its supposed tyrannical ruler? Not to mind all the innocents that will surely die along with the soldiers in another of the Bush agenda's acts of aggression.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:07 p.m.Perhaps he is just proving the point that Americans will believe ANYTHING that they see on TV! The American public has been fed such a load of propaganda by the media that they are clueless. How has this happened? It is simple, the US educational system and the media have trained the public to be passive, obedient followers, and thus easy to indoctrinate and control with propaganda.
Wake up America; critically examine, with an open mind, everything you are presented with! Are you being fed the truth, lies or carefully crafted propaganda?

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:09 p.m.News flash people, we're already at war with two countries and a major terrorist organiation, our country can't withstand the military strain of invading yet a third nation; nor can it withstand the political backlash that will surely come once CNN starts showing the dead bodies of all the Wood's inhabitants. Imagine what the UN will think onces the rent and torn bodies of Kanga, still clutching the lifeless body of her child, Roo, are put on display for the world to see.
I will not let this stand ladies and gentlemen. I demand that Stephen Colbert apologise to the bear community and cease and desist his flaming rhetoric.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:25 p.m.Hey he may come off as a republican but I'd say he's more inbetween. People like you ahriman forget this is a comedy show on a comedy network. Not a political show on a political network. Also, if you really think this man hates bears, you are a moron on a level I've never seen. Again it's a comedy show, most of what he says is not meant to be taken seriously (I understand that you can't comprehend this). He is stating opinions that he believes in and all you want to do is criticize and remove him from the air. You are a nazi and a moron. I don't support right wing views but he is fukcing hilarious and I wish the best for his show. And death to single-minded nazis like you.
BTW that band sucks real bad, I hope you are a chick.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:26 p.m."I demand that Stephen Colbert apologise to the bear community and cease and desist his flaming rhetoric."
Tremble in fear Stephen colbert, for this messange of hitler demands you cease and desist all opinions you might have, and demands you conform to her beliefs immediately. You are no longer aloud to have opinions of your own.

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:36 p.m.Listen donkeywang, who's going to explain to Christopher Robin why all his friends are dead? You? Don't make me laugh! It's you and people like you (and Stephen Colbert) who would proudly parade the severed heads of Pigglet and Eyore around the capital and steak them in front of the White House.
Bears are no more a threat to our society than kittens, cute, adorable kittens. Yet we have this Comedy Central demogauge who constantly calls for the eradication of an ENDANGERED species. How can you justify that? HOW?!?!?!

Aug. 5, 2006, 3:49 p.m.DonkeyWang,
You sound like you have a lot af experience with firearms. Have you ever performed the above procedure in its entirety? Why do you need to use a double barrel 12 guage shotgun, wouldn't a smaller caliber weapon be accurate enough to hit your sweet spot?
