    As Spring springs a young man's heart turns to thoughts... No, it's a young man's mind beats to thoughts of hearts... No, it's a young man's youthful heart turns to beating hearts... Eh, I'll have to get back to you...

    Every spring a young mans thoughts turn to the promise of new love, but with one good crack in the back of the head from his girlfriend those thoughts are gone along with many other short term memories.

            Not sure why love=physical pain. I get the love=pain. Someday I will be in Paris in the Spring someday.

              I'm sure if I understood the song, sung by French nightclub chanteusse Edith Pilaf, the whole thing would make more sense. Rather like watching a cartoon done to "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" and not understanding a lick of English.

              Oh, and if you are in Paris in the Spring, watch out for the pianos. :)

                This is like an animated version of the movie Betty Blue but this vid ends on a much more positive note.

                This is in the "grand tradition" of French filmmaking dating back to the (appropriately named) Lumiere brothers 100 years ago. Excellent kissy face stuff which unfortunately scares American censors to death. BOO! Why-oh-why do we have to be so up-tight about matters of love, and depictions thereof?

                    Not sure what you said, but it's in French and sounds sexy. Automatic positive vote. ;)

                    Pepe le Pew was one of my favorite WB characters. Was always rooting for him to get the girl.

                  Yep, a positively lovely thought right up until you start internet dating and all the men end up taking "business trips" to Nigeria and then ask you to send them cash so that they can adopt refugee children in need of kidney transplants!

                    I do "pardon" all of your French. As Pogo used to say:

                    "Churchy La Femme." Ciera, he was the turtle in the late Walt Kelly's strip "Pogo." I don't remember if he "got the girl." {:)}
