Bulletin: In my story submitted yesterday. There was an expose on the sheik Abu Risha.
In A story submitted by one of my friends, I found he was killed (in AlQaeda free Anbar province) by a roadside bomb. The U.S. Military says that it was probably AlQaeda. If you didn't see the video from yesterday, here's the link.

Your money and influence are worth a 100 of our feeble stories?
LOL...
Yep...sounds like you're a true-blue dyed in the wool (flannel suit), non-caring, silver spoon-in-mouth conservative Republican. No one "matters" but you...no wonder this country and the world that revolves around it are going to pot...the masses don't matter! The common everyday man and woman are just taking up your space, your air. Only the priviledged few, like yourself, matter.
How sad of a person you really are!

"silver spoon-in-the-mouth" lets put this tired stereotype to bed. There are more loud-mouthed rich liberals out there than rich republicans. shall I define them for you? The rich republicans are the ones who worked hard, risked their time and money on an idea and perservered for years before becomming successful. Rich liberals on the other hand have either inherited their money or had it fall into their laps ie. movie stars..hence their guilt and liberal beliefs....

I don't know who you are, and frankly don't care. It's not me as an individual that you have to be concerned with, it's my ideas. Those are the powerful commodities to possess. You can reach out to the security of your material world, but in the end you will realize their is a battle on this planet. Ideas control people, control people, create wealth. The churches of this nation realize this al too well. In order to maintain your wealth, you must maintain control of the people. Who said that, "No man is an island."

As I just posted on another thread, the situation in Iraq is like trying to bake a cake with rotten eggs. No matter what you add or how you vary the oven temperature, you will never come up with a palatable cake. It will always stink.
Iraq was begun on the strength of rotten intelligence. It, too, will always stink.
Spin masters, photo ops and lies will never take away the stench. It will be many moons after the end of this presidency for this nation to regain any of its former self-respect. I do not blame the Iraqis for their hatred of our nation. We have brought them war, death, destruction of their infrastructure and we hang around waiting for their shaky government to pass an oil law that will be favorable to Big Oil, while the sons and daughters of our honest populace are sacrificing life and limb. It will always stink.

The sad thing is that some of us mere plebs could forecast the resulting mess but the so called brains of Bush and Blair could not be bothered to think of what would happen after the fall of Saddam's government and now the world is a much more dangerous place. I think the only answer (even if not a good one) is to admit the errors and go cap in hand to the UN for them to attempt to police the region.

Thanks Amazing, but isn't it great to have a president who won't sit down with the leaders of the other countries around Iraq and at least make an effort to save those Americans and Iraqis who will die... for the lack of his political effort.

I agree Iraq is a nightmare which we should have never been involved in and we all know Bush is responsible but,
this video says the U.S. media is not reporting this information that is then rehashed by Pepe. Excuse me, if you are referring to Fox news I agree but I have heard the exact same information reported on CNN. So please do not make the Iraq war, which is a lie reinforced with another lie from this author, Pepe. Let all humans respect others opinions without besmirching others with more lies.

I'm not exactly when this was recorded, but i'm guessing sometime after Bush's visit and before Petraeus's report. Did CNN broadcast this at an earlier date? I don't know, but if they did then you are certainly correct. I'm sure if he was aware of that he would have not made the statement.

Fascinating watching that, if only for the pure intensity of it. Paul Jay needs a shave, Escobar needs a haircut and a comb. Neither man is concerned about appearances, obviously, without fancy dress or ties. Jay listens intently without interruption, asks appropriate questions. It's been a long while since I've watched two journalists assessing anything. All I've ever heard for 7 years is a bunch of partisan hacks playing one 'upmanship', & screeching like a bunch of little girls.
Anyway, thanks for this. I'll be watching for corroboration to leak out, & don't doubt it will be forthcoming.

We have so far watched the GOTCHA news for 7 years. Now we are getting "Got it Right" news for a change!
This is really good, jovial! Thanks for digging it out and posting it.
This guy has no shame! Sneaking a trip into Anbar airport to tell the troops that the decisions would be made based on the conditions on the ground, which itself is a cynical lie, and NOT RECEIVING ONE SINGLE FLAG DRAPED COFFIN OF A FALLEN HERO WHO GAVE LIFE FOR THIS JERK'S LIES, IS THE ULTIMATE INSULT TO OUR GUYS IN UNIFORM!
There will surely be a place and time for him to answer about all of his sins - I hope it comes sooner!
Impeachment Now, Vigilance Forever!
Peace and Blessings!

Why? To remind the General to write a nice report and stick to his story.
But we shall see...
One way for the General to leave that sh!thole in a hurry would be to get sacked. Like if he told Congress that it is impossible to win a war or even to retreat with honor
under a C-in-C lacking any moral scruples, no integrity, and a hatred for honesty.
And if thats the thanks he will get for doing his job, and hopefully telling the truth, there wont be any more takers. Then there would be no commanders in the Army, no one would accept promotion. Officers going AWOL, and fragging Superior Officers.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Smells like, victory.
If only Bushco. were that stupid!
They could abolish and disband our standing army by one mistake!
Do it! Do it!

Have any of you ever read the " Carter Doctrine" on protecting the flow of oil from the Middle East to the world markets?
Do any of you remember the policy of the US Government was to change the reigiem in Iraq, This policy was the policy before Bush was elected president and pushed by Albright, Sandy Berdger, John Kerry, Chuck Hagel,Al Gore and other democrat talking heads right up to the invasion of Iraq. Bush did it and these same people immediatly turned against Bush for doing what they had made policy.

Actually the Nixon Doctrine, the Truman Doctrine, and the Eisenhower Doctrine was in place before the Carter Doctrine, and was integral in setting up the Carter Doctrine. But I only have one question for you, "What does this have to do with the price of eggs in China?" In other words, it appears to be far off topic, but maybe you can humor me by explaining the connection.

The new "Bush Doctrine" apparently is to increase the price of oil triple-fold.
"Mission Accomplished"
Armed invasion and occupation was NEVER part of the US Governments policy towards Iraq.
Bush did not comply with the provisions of the law Congress passed to go to war anyway but those in Congress are to chicken to call him on it.

Even if you believe that to be true, it's not the doctrine as much as the execution of the doctrine that is troubling. None of those individuals you named was FOOLISH enough to attack a country that had not attacked the US, and to go in with no strategy for getting out! Bush is a baffoon and a dangerous one! He has cost thousands upon thousands of lives unnecessarily.

Is it not now clear that George Bush is a war criminal?
He is not an ordinary criminal, he is an international criminal but live in a very powerful country can always get away with killing the entire Iraqi population.

It's been clear that Bush is a war criminal sense he decided to suppress vital intelligence information in the Congressional Hearings on going to war with Iraq.
We all know what happens when you start lying. You have to keep telling more lies to support the first lies and so on. Well, now we have a war based on total fabrication and even our allies want out. If Bush was telling the truth wouldn't we have allied support no matter what? Think about it.
And, thank you for posting this jovial. I think some of us already knew that the insurgents were shifting from one place to another. As we secured one area they'd attack another. Then we'd go chase after them and secure that area and they'd either go back to where we just vacated or take over another area. And the game goes on.
The "surge" is not a success anymore than Bushie's continued campaigning and spinning.

Remember my friends....months ago....when the conservatives on Netscape tried so hard to convince us that the surge was a good thing to do. Remember the Democratic politicians that funded this surge for political reasons. So they wouldn't look "soft on terror", even though they knew inside that it wouldn't work. Their strategy was to give Bush enough rope to hang himself. Well he hung himself, now I await the Democrat's response.

Crybaby's in their 30's who didn't learn a damn thing in college, wasted their parent's money...still live at home, even though they drive a brand new car and have a $300 ipod. Then they have the gall to ****** and moan about politics...In my opinion you shouldn't even be able to vote if you don't own property...because then you have something to lose and will actually make educated decisions when you vote. Not like this idiotic mtv liberal looser crowd who just votes for handouts from the government.....And the gall these traitorous hippie college kids have to shout down our military and force them out of the colleges....it's sickening that they curse at the very people who will give their lives to protect them....like I say sickening...anyone who call themself a liberal should hang their head in shame...

According to General Petreus' remarks at his confirmation, any progress in Iraq would have to be on the political side.
The Iraq government, which spent a good part of the surge on vacation, is more tenuous now that it was at the beginning of the surge.
Please explain how you can possibly say the surge is working inspite of a failure to make progress toward the primary objective.

When Saudi-Arabians did 9/11. Look up the old TV Speeches to see for yourself. We when to Iraq to get it President, because in one of President George Bush Jrs first speeches he stated that the President of Iraq tried to have his Father President George Bush Sr killed. That is why we are in Iraq instead of Saudi-Arabia. We need to disrupt all of the Middle East. To let them fight among themselves instead of us.

bmfwa,
I don't have a problem with going after leaders of other countries that try to assassinate our President, our ambassadors, our soldiers, or our citizens at home or abroad. In fact, I liked what Reagan did when he bombed Col. Moammar Kadafi's palace for being tied to several terrorist acts.
I don't agree to going to war with a country over unfounded suspicions. If we had a beef with Saddam, bomb his house, his palace, his summer home, his family's homes, the dog's house, friends' homes, and anywhere he might hang his hat until a bloody coup takes him from power. America did not need to send in an occupying force especially AFTER Bush proclaimed "Mission Accomplished!"
What is so hard about understanding this?

President Bush went to Iraq to spin the story. He knew the media would cover a "surprise visit" and include excerpts from his speech to the troops. He could then claim his surge is working, and should continue. If he were as good at governing as he were at spinning news stories the country would be in much better shape.

How naive. As if a Republican could manipulate a liberal press media. (NewsMediaResearch study, 2000, indicates the press identified with the Democrat party 85% of the time)
"Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There's no question about that."

How naive are you. Controlling the news cycle is something every politician strives for. An incumbent president has the power to make news just by doing something. That gives him a chance to get a sound bite out to the media, even if it's just 20-30 seconds.
You should learn how the political game is played before you spout off your laughable nonsense.

The only ones spinning are the Democrats. They've just lost the political game.
If anyone is still fooled by the idiotic bantering of liberals, they might as well take some calming medicine. They've already lost.
The Democrat strategy: "Cut and Run"
"We stopped the fighting [in 1991] on an agreement that Iraq would take steps to assure the world that it would not engage in further aggression and that it would destroy its weapons of mass destruction. It has refused to take those steps. That refusal constitutes a breach of the armistice which renders it void and justifies resumption of the armed conflict."
Senator Harry Reid (Democrat, Nevada)
Addressing the US Senate
October 9, 2002
Congressional Record, p. S10145
Reply-

Raiderwall1 year ago
The GOP strategy, if you want to call it a strategy. Stay in the line of fire, take fire from all sides, don't talk to anyone in Iraq about the political realities on the ground, and hope the whole conflagration works itself out.
That's how we're bogged down in a third world country, despite having the world's greatest armed forces, fully equipped with 21st century technology.
That's just not good enough.
As for politics, cut and run did not work in 2006, it won't work in 2008. Tired cliches won't be enough.

Why are we involved in a war 5000 miles away with a country who never attacked us?
Why has Al Qaeda become a force in Iraq while under Saddam they were not there?
Why are we Americans meddlers in the world without consent from the vast numbers of nations?
Why must you continue to think fear is the motivational factor to attack innocents and retain Bush in power?
Why did predictions about Betray us months ago come to a truism? It's all about your elite leaders who need to control other nations along with their resources. Hitler had the same agenda.

It goes without saying, Bush will say anything any all to redeem his Presidency which will be relegated to the worst in Presidency in our history.
Give Bush a rocket propelled grenade and attack Ahmadinejad and the matter will be settled. Like all neocons they are cowards with the likes of Cheney, who is the king of college deferments. He would never go to war to show his patriotism. Send the next poor guy, he will do our biding.
Cheney would say, "I am part of the upper crust in America, how dare you confront my motivations", yeah right!
