I'm going to have to say no. I know too many men who need fancy tools and a rock lashed to a stick isn't going to cut it. I also know too many people who couldn't live without bread.
So I'm voting for the early bronze age.
We get metal tools and bread, however, we still retain some of the advantages of the stone age, like no anesthesia to help dull the pain of that tooth abscess we're trying to remove, which is probably going to off you anyway.
We've grown too soft. That's the issue, people. Ouch, I just scratched my leg on my computer desk. I need a nap. Later.

Yeah, sliced bread for sandwiches is a must. Pretty tough to accomplish with a chipped flint knife.

Some folks I know still have that stone-age mentality though.
Maybe they should have gone with GEICO.com instead.

At least conversation will be simpler:
Me: "Ugh?"
Cave mate: "Un Un"
Me: "Ugh"
It's like being a primitive smurf.

These people don't seem to realize that back then an infection could kill you. A man struggled to gather food just to stay alive. A strong man took what he wanted. No 8 hour days. No Air Conditioning. No central heating. No running water. Windows were a hole in the wall. Doors didn't close airtight. Cooking was on an open fire. Etc. Etc. Etc.
No thank you!!!!!

Infections can still kill you. Before antibiotics they often did. That wasn't 10k years ago.

No...use your club and open his/her skull, then run before the local smilodon (Saber-tooth cat)showed up!!!
We will then see how they like interacting with nature...

I'm thinking "Land of the Lost"
got my modern tech with me, lots of dinosaurs and sleestaks around for entertainment. the occasional modern passerby, and dont forget the hot chick in furs living in the sweet tree house (probably a virgin since there are no humans around, unless she's getting a little sleestak action)
stone age living with modern tools, now thats living!

Stone age?? god I don't even want to be Amish! but roughing it on a camping trip not so bad, you know you have comfort to go back to. Just think of how peacefull it would be tho....except for the occassional loud neighbors grunting and the wild animals tearing someone or something apart. aaaaah nature!!!
